How does it work?

Ipulse causes heat to penetrate into the hair follicle disabling cells the cause hair growth. The skin in kept at a suitable temperature enabling the process to be conducted in comfort. Ipulse allows greater areas to be treated due to its multi-lamp system, reducing time and cost to the patient.

The Ipulse system, creates a heat source that is absorbed by the melanin in melanocytes (colour producing cells) and converted into heat. The hair growth cycle should be taken into consideration as only those in the anagen (growth) phase will be affected.

The Ipulse system is quick and virtually painless. For example the removal of underarm hair tends to take between 4 and 8 treatments (subject to status).

Does it work on all skin types?

Our Practitioners would select the most appropriate hair removal treatment, taking into consideration the patients hair & skin type. This is necessary as power output varies depending on the skin type. Ipulse tends to work better on those with contrasting hair & skin colours however, the ipulse system due to its unique light delivery, is effective on darker skin even fitzpatrick skin type V.
